reg query <key>

Query/add/delete/export registry keys. Always export a backup before modifying.

Examples

  • reg export HKLM\SOFTWARE\App app-backup.regBack up before editing
  • reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion" /v ProductNameRead OS name from registry

Syntax

reg [query|add|delete|export] <key> [...]
