icacls <path>

Shows and edits ACLs: /grant adds rights, /t recurses, /reset restores inheritance.

Examples

icacls D:\share /grant "DOMAIN\Sales":(OI)(CI)M /tGrant modify recursively
icacls C:\app /reset /tReset to inherited ACLs

Syntax

icacls <path> [/grant user:perm] [/reset] [/t]

Before you run it

A wrong /t scope rewrites many ACLs.
