DestructiveFormat a drive

format <drive>: /fs:ntfs /q

Initializes a drive. /q is quick (metadata only). Verify the letter — wrong target = disaster.

Examples

  • format E: /fs:exfat /qQuick-format USB as exFAT

Syntax

format <drive>: [/fs:type] [/q]
