vim-cmd vmsvc/power.getstate <vmid>

Drives VM power directly on the host when vCenter is down. Get vmids from getallvms; shutdown needs Tools.

Syntax

vim-cmd vmsvc/power.[getstate|on|off|shutdown] <vmid>

Before you run it

power.off is a hard cut; prefer shutdown.
