Update-MgUser -UserId <upn> -Department '<dept>'

Updates Entra attributes — but on synced tenants AD is the source of truth; edit cloud-only users only.

Syntax

Update-MgUser -UserId u [-Department d] [-JobTitle t] [-OfficeLocation o]

Before you run it

Synced users must be edited in AD.
