unzip

SafeExtract ZIP archives

unzip <archive.zip> [-d dir]

Extracts ZIPs. -l lists contents first; -d sets the target dir. Use -O cp932 for Japanese filenames.

Examples

  • unzip -l backup.zipList contents first
  • unzip -O cp932 docs.zip -d ./docsExtract JP names cleanly
