getfacl <path>

Reads/sets fine-grained ACLs beyond owner/group/other — grant one extra user without regrouping.

Examples

setfacl -R -m u:app:rX /srv/dataGrant read to one user

Syntax

getfacl <path> / setfacl -m u:<user>:rwx <path>

Before you run it

A '+' in ls -l marks ACL-bearing files.
