aws ssm get-parameter --name <name> --with-decryption

Reads/writes central config; SecureString plus --with-decryption is the standard secrets pattern.

Examples

aws ssm get-parameter --name /app/db/password --with-decryption --query Parameter.Value --output textFetch a secret value

Syntax

aws ssm get-parameter --name n [--with-decryption] / put-parameter --name n --value v --type SecureString
