CautionMove objects between OUs

Move-ADObject -Identity <dn> -TargetPath <oudn>

Relocates users/computers to another OU — which changes their GPOs, so know the destination's policies.

Examples

  • Move-ADObject 'CN=PC-101,CN=Computers,DC=corp,DC=local' -TargetPath 'OU=Kiosk,DC=corp,DC=local'Move a PC to a kiosk OU

Syntax

Move-ADObject -Identity <dn> -TargetPath <ou dn>
